Lenoir- The East Burke boys cross country team's first regular season meet resulted in a team win for the Cavaliers scoring 42 points at Wednesday's Caldwell County Invitational.
Luke Elliott led EB with a third-place finish (19:08.59) just ahead of fellow Cavalier runner Logan Shuford (19:08.87).
Ayden Lingerfelt (8th), Shane Feamster (13th), and Clay Seagle (14th) were other top EB runners.
The Lady Cavs placed fifth overall (130 pts) led by Meah Walsh (17th) and Gracie Ruff (20th).
Jake Bevins (18th) placed in the JV boys 5K race.
EB completes their week Saturday at AC Reynolds in the Rocket HS Relay.
