D'andre Moore opened scoring play for Valdese with a ten-yard pass to Alex Ryan and then added five more touchdowns (four rush, kick return) leading the Tigers to a 2-0 mark in league play.
Moore's touchdown runs went for 12, 41, 49, and 55 yards and returned a punt score for 62 yards.
He was also in on two 2 point conversion runs with Henry Cooper and Lane Charlet also punching in conversion runs.
Ryan completed Valdese scoring with a 25-yard touchdown run.
Cooper, Jay Corpening, and Devin Wright recorded a tackle for loss on defense with Jean Garcia blocking a punt.
Moore's record rushing mark leads Cavs to win over W Caldwell
The single-game rushing record held for 20 years by Dusty Powell (270 vs. West Caldwell, 1999) is now in Moore's possession rushing for 271 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-12 road victory at West Caldwell.
"All glory goes to God (for this win and accomplishment)," said Moore, averaging 150.6 yards per game with 13 touchdowns. "(This win) is good momentum to build off of for our upcoming game with West Iredell."
Moore's four touchdown runs went for 1, 32, 22, and 12 yards while he had four rushes that went for more than 20 yards.
Brett Childers also added a touchdown run for the Cavaliers (2-3, 1-0 NWFAC 2A) on a five-yard run to complete EB's second offensive drive.
"Very excited about this win, I just want to give God the glory," said Childers, also playing couple QB snaps and gaining a few tackles on defense. "This is a great way to start the conference, it's time to learn and prepare for next week."
Cavaliers quarterback Seth Pruitt was held to 26 passing yards on 4 of 7 completions and added 18 rushing yards on two keepers.
Luke Coble (2-14) and Childers (2-12) were the leading receivers for EB.
Raelen Lo (TFL), Michael Magni (sack), Dawson Langley (sack), Elijah Hess, George Mackay, and Noah Rooks made multiple stops on defense.
East Burke is back home next Friday hosting West Iredell for Homecoming.

Wildcats win school record fourth straight
Friday night's road win was their first victory over West Iredell in three meetings, extends a current winning streak to a school-record total of four games, and gives the Wildcats a 2-0 start in the Northwestern Foothills 2A Conference.
"I think it was a monumental win for our program and I'm so thrilled for our kids," said Draughn football coach Chris Powell. "These young men have worked extremely hard this offseason and are reaping the benefits of their labor."
Draughn (4-2) gained a 14-0 lead early in the first half with Braxton Cox connecting with Denver Treadway on touchdown completions of 7 and 22 yards.
A Cox two-point conversion pass to Nick Chrisco added to the lead after a Kaminske PAT kick attempt was blocked after the first touchdown.
The Wildcats then went to the ground with Trent Corn (season-high 235 rushing yards on 27 carries) and Nick Chrisco rushing for 74 and 9-yard touchdown runs.
West Iredell's Myles Jackson countered with touchdown runs of 5 and 4 yards to cut Draughn's lead to 28-14 at the halftime break.
A third-quarter Cox pass for 17 yards to Chrisco gave the Wildcats a three-score advantage while Warriors quarterback Eli Kitchens set up a comeback tossing two touchdown passes of 40 yards each to only trail 35-28.
The last effort drive for West Iredell ended at 2:34 remaining off a turnover on downs and the Wildcats ground game kept the remaining clock running to set up Kaminske's last-second field goal.
Cox finished with 215 yards passing on 11 of 20 completions and now averages 216.3 yards with 18 touchdowns in six games this season.
Corn and Patton transfer Donavan King each received Farm Bureau offensive and defensive players of the game after the game.
King registered three sacks for the Wildcats and caused a fumble on the kick return following Corn's touchdown run.
The Wildcats return home next Friday hosting Patton for the 11th annual Homecoming game and attempt at a fifth consecutive win.
"I feel our kids are now believing in each other and the system and fully believe the sky is the limit for them. We tell the kids every day to stay humble and stay hungry, we aren't satisfied with just these four wins in a row," said Powell.

Raiders dominate Knights
"It was a big win for our kids, anytime you break a losing streak is a good win," said East Burke Middle head coach Mitchell McGuire. "We got three games left and got a shot at a couple wins to finish in a good spot in the conference."
Jacob Dellinger, recording a game-high 195 rushing yards on eight carries, struck on the first play off a 35-yard touchdown run.
After forcing Liberty into a three and out on their opening drive, a 46 yard run by Dellinger set up a nine-yard touchdown run by Levi Coble.
Dellinger added a 53-yard touchdown run to cap the Raiders first-half scoring with adding a two-point conversion run.
Asher Gebhard also punched in two 2 point conversion runs while completing EB's only pass - a 19-yard completion to Grayson Phillips.
Coble scored on a six-yard third-quarter touchdown run to finish with 46 rushing yards on six carries.
Hayden Parker led the Raiders defensively with a sack and fumble recovery.
Joshua Hess, Jesus Becerra, Darren Hammons, and Andrew Childress recorded a sack with Sam Huffman recovering a Knights fumble.
East Burke is back home next Wednesday hosting Table Rock.

EB boys 5th, Draughn 8th in Freedom Invitational
The Cavaliers scored 160 total points and were led by Logan Shuford (17th, 18:09.21) and Luke Elliott (18th, 18:15.43) with Ayden Lingerfelt (36th, 18:38.39), Shane Feamster (43rd, 19:19.62), Clay Seagle (50th, 19:36.80), and Caleb-Johnson White (58th, 19:57.53) finishing the 5K race under 20 minutes.
Senior Tommy Blackwell well represented the eighth place Wildcats (212) with a seventh-place finish in the boys 5K with a time of 17:38.93.
Other key Draughn runners included Reed Farrar (21st, 18:18.60) Andrew Albright (44th, 19:24.30), and Ben Teffeteler (54th, 19:46.30).
In the girls 5K race, freshman Mekenzie Harris (24:23.32) led the Lady Cavs with a 49th place finish with Meah Walsh (51st, 24:33.95), and Gracie Ruff (56th, 24:46.87) finishing behind Harris.

Draughn and East Burke both travel Tuesday to West Iredell for their next Northwestern Foothills 2A Conference meet.
Cavs fall to undefeated Rebels
Williams Field turned into a warzone that proved costly for the Cavaliers in a 69-21 victory for the Rebels.
West Lincoln (4-0) scored the game's first 13 points off two touchdown runs by Cannon Bridges (game-high 178 rushing yards).
East Burke (1-3) got to work with Seth Pruitt, making his first start at quarterback this season, completing passes to Josh Moore for 34 yards and Luke Coble for 31 yards to set up a Moore one-yard run.
After an eight-play drive by West Lincoln that ended with a turnover on downs after a Raelyn Lo tackle for loss, the Cavaliers executed a 10 play drive ending with a 24-yard touchdown run by Moore.
The following point-after kick by Turner Strong gave EB a 14-13 second-quarter lead.
West Lincoln answered right back in four plays with a Xander Pendergrass 16 yard touchdown run and the two-point conversion run to grab the lead back 21-14.
Bridges and Pendergrass would find the endzone again in the second and third quarters to extend the lead out of EB's reach.
A Pruitt to Coble 19 yard touchdown connection gave the Cavaliers seven points back as Pruitt finished the night with 195 passing yards on nine completions.
Both squads each racked up 100 yards on penalty yardage including personal fouls and unsportsmanlike rulings for both teams.
Moore was again held below his rushing average (141.7) finishing with 55 yards on 12 carries and sat out most of the second half.
The Cavaliers now prepare for the conference season opening with a road game at West Caldwell next Friday in a matchup against former EB head coach Mike Biggerstaff.

Wildcats shutout Ironmen
The Wildcats are now winners of two straight games for the first time since the 2013 season after shutting out the Ironmen 61-0.
The 61 points is a new team scoring record after scoring 55 points at Foard last week.
It's only their second shutout vs. Cherryville after a 42-0 win in 2011 and fourth overall in program history.
"I'm tickled to death for our kids," said Draughn head coach Chris Powell. "The kids are playing with a lot of confidence and a lot of tenacity, they are just really playing as a team."
The Wildcats first got on the board defensively with a 20-yard fumble return by Mason Pratt.
After a Cherryville turnover on downs, Braxton Cox and Co went to work on the offensive side of the ball firing back to back touchdown passes to Denver Treadway from 10 and 21 yards.
Cox later completed a 14-yard touchdown pass to Khe-Nai Banks and Trent Corn added a 35-yard touchdown run as the first quarter was completed with a 34-0 score.
"Braxton did a good job getting the ball to our receivers and our run game was very good so hats off to our guys up front," said Powell.
The second quarter saw Cox and Treadway hook up for the third time on a 13-yard scoring completion and Corn scampered for a 57 yard touchdown run to go into the halftime break with a 48 point advantage.
As the whole second half was in running clock mode, the Wildcats (2-2) got on the board off Cox's fifth touchdown completion to Nick Chrisco for 43 yards in the third quarter and a fourth-quarter nine-yard touchdown run by Omarion Conley.
Ryan Kaminske completed seven of nine PATs to also add to Draughn's record-setting point total.
Cox had a perfect passing performance on 11 completions for 191 yards with Chrisco (3-96), Treadway (5-68), and Banks (2-24) leading the receiving core.
"Everybody executed and doing what they were supposed to do, it just gives us a good lead into our next games," said Cox.
Chrisco and Treadway also crossed over the 500-yard mark in their two-year careers.
"It feels great to win back to back games, we just got to keep working," said Treadway.
Zach Poteat led Draughn defensively with two tackles for loss and a sack with Treadway (TFL), Banks (fumble recovery), Chrisco (TFL), Bryan Walker (INT), Beckett Nelson (pass breakup), Gavin Tucker (blocked punt), Donavan King (TFL), and Avien Parker (2 pass breakups) assisting.
The Wildcats return home next Friday to complete the non-conference schedule with Avery County in a rematch of a back and forth offensive rally from last season.

"I thought last Friday’s win was monumental and could be a turning point for our program. To come back from 17 down not once but twice shows the resilience of our team. We had some seniors who really stepped up and became leaders. Our offensive line played the best game so far. Defensively, I was very proud of our staff. They made some halftime adjustments and limited Foard to just 15 yards in the 3rd quarter."
