Lenoir- The two-meet winning streak to start the season for the Draughn boys cross country team ended Thursday at Hibriten finishing runner-up to Patton (30-33).
Junior Reed Farrar, however, won his third consecutive 5K race setting a new season PR of 17:04.41.
Andrew Albright (3rd, 18:06.14), Grady Wooden (6th, 19:33.38), and Jonathan Garcia (7th, 19:47.90) were other leading finishers for the Wildcats.
The Lady Wildcats placed third (48 pts) and were led by Regen Bridges (2nd, 24:34.22) and Ambria Blalock (3rd, 24:58.41).
Draughn travels to West Iredell next Tuesday in the final regular-season meet before the conference championships.
