From The Coach
"We are excited and blessed to be able to get on the field again, these last three weeks have been a carousel with cancellations and finding new games. Last week, we didn't perform anywhere near our capacity so our kids are eager to get on the field and correct our issues"
"Hickory is a prime reason why you never judge a team by their record. They are a very good football team who has lost a couple games to good teams. We saw them in a 7 on 7 this summer so we have an idea of their size and speed. They are big and athletic, their line is big and strong, and their defense is tenacious. Everywhere Coach (Joe) Glass goes, he has had success and Hickory is no different"
"Our focus Friday is more about us correcting our issues and playing a better football game. We want to control what we can control: limit turnovers, limit missed tackles, fix our missed assignments upfront, and play with a lot of heart. If we can do these things, then everything else takes care of itself."
"The most important thing, for me, is that our kids are getting an opportunity to step onto the field Friday night and play another football game"
-Chris Powell
