Icard- The East Burke baseball team is on a roll in a turnaround season winning their third consecutive game after an 0-3 start.
The winning streak started with last week's 1-0 road win at Bandys and followed with home wins over Newton-Conover (8-7) and Bunker Hill (2-1).
Cooper Greene led the Cavaliers against the Red Devils hitting a fifth-inning grand slam and recording a walk-off hit in the seventh.
Colin Eckard excelled on the mound against the Bears striking out eight batters and only allowing two hits in a key defensive game with shortstop Luke Bumgarner and centerfielder Blane Fulbright providing assistance.
Bumgarner (3), Eckard (2), Will Weidner (2), Hollan Cline (2), and Greene (1) all crossed home plate for EB.
The JV Cavaliers also had a 2-0 week defeating Newton-Conover 15-1 and Bunker Hill 5-4.
Logan Brown won it for EB with a walk-off double to score Cannon Morrison against the JV Bears.
Barger Shook, Mason Mosteller, Gabe Wittenburg, and Caden Buff were leading hitters for the week.
