SOFTBALL
Tanner at Carolina University
Elle Tanner (Draughn) played in 18 games for the Lady Bruins softball team at Carolina University.
At bat, she recorded 15 hits and 17 RBIs including a season-high four RBIs vs Iowa Wesleyan.
She also scored nine runs and stole two bases.
Tanner pitched in seven games for 24.2 innings striking out 22 batters, including a recent high of seven vs. Livingstone College.
Seagle at Surry CC
Lexi Seagle (East Burke) earned a pitching win against Caldwell CC and had a season-high four strikeouts vs Camp Community College in seven appearances in the pitching circle for Surry CC.
Overall, Seagle has pitched 15 innings allowing four runs on 16 hits and two walks with 11 total strikeouts.
Hildebran at Lenoir-Rhyne
Graleigh Hildebran (East Burke) has appeared in 11 games for the Lenoir-Rhyne University softball team recording three hits and one double with batting in one run.
She also made 47 putouts and four assists from her catcher position.
BASEBALL
Treadway at Emory & Henry
Nathan Treadway (Draughn) played in 23 games for the Emory & Henry baseball team racking up 16 hits and three doubles including five games with two hits each.
Treadway also scored two runs recently vs. Ferrum to finish with seven total scored runs and also batted in four runs along with being issued 14 walks.
SWIMMING
Hudson/Smith @ College Club Swimming National Championship
A pair of former Draughn swimmers Gunnar Hudson (Western Carolina) and Jaxon Smith (NC State) represented their intramural swimming club at a national championship meet hosted at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
Smith swam four different events: the men's 100 butterfly (24.72), 100 backstroke (55.46), 50 backstroke (24.93), and 100 freestyle (49.27).
Hudson swam the women's 100 breaststroke event with a time of 1:18.48
