Collegiate Cats/Cavs #7

BASKETBALL

Jeremiah Daye (Warren Wilson)

Jeremiah Daye (Draughn 2019) played in 17 games for the Warren Wilson College men's basketball team and has led the Owls in scoring average (16.4), rebounds (111), blocked shots (16), and steals (15, tied) with being second in assists (47).

Daye also had seven games totaling 20 points including a season-high 31 vs. Bob Jones University.

He also scored 22 points and recorded two blocked shots in a matchup with Division One opponent Western Carolina.

The Owls begin Eastern Metro Athletic Conference Tournament play Tuesday.

Nick Bridges (Montreat)

Nick Bridges (Draughn 2017) played in eight games for the Montreat College men's basketball team including starting the home finale vs. Bryan College last Saturday.

Bridges recorded six rebounds this season in addition to one steal and one blocked shot.

The Cavaliers begin Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament play Thursday as the 2 seed.



SWIMMING

Morgan Hall (Mars Hill)

Morgan Hall (East Burke 2019) completed her career for the Mars Hill University women's swimming teams.

Her best times this year came in a meet with Lees McRae and King in the 100 (1:04.18) and 200 (2:12.41) freestyle (2:22.82) events placing seventh in both events.



BASEBALL

Nathan Treadway (Emory & Henry)

Nathan Treadway (Draughn 2018) started his junior baseball season at Emory & Henry playing in four games for the Wasps.

Treadway started out with four hits and a run vs. King University and followed with 3 hits, 2 runs, and a walk vs. UVA-Wise.



SOFTBALL

Lexi Seagle (Surry CC)

Lexi Seagle (East Burke 2019) started out another softball season at Surry Community College as a second baseman and a pitcher.

Seagle was at-bat in six games recording two hits, two runs, and three RBIs including batting in two runs vs. Montreat College.

Seagle also recorded two strikeouts from the pitcher's circle vs. Montreat with also pitching against Guilford College.




Elle Tanner (Carolina University)

Elle Tanner (Draughn 2020) began another softball season at Carolina University batting in five games and pitching in four games for the Lady Bruins.

Tanner has had three hits, including a home run vs. Columbia International, and two runs, three RBIs, a walk, and a stolen base.

Tanner pitched for 14.2 innings registering seven strikeouts, with a combined total of six strikeouts in a series with Brevard College.




Graleigh Hildebran (Lenoir-Rhyne)

Graleigh Hildebran (East Burke 2020) participated in six games for the Lenoir-Rhyne softball team recording only two hits (one double).
