Collegiate Cats/Cavs #2

Caldwell CC&TI Women's Basketball: Savannah Coble (East Burke)

Coble recently led the Lady Cobras with 17 points this past Tuesday in a home loss to Spartanburg Methodist College.

She continues to lead the Lady Cobras in scoring (14.0) and assists (108) while also adding 51 rebounds and 44 steals.

The Lady Cobras (15-8) have three games left including two home contests with Southwest Virginia (2/20) and Denmark Tech (2/22).



Montreat College Women's Basketball: Hope Ramsey (Draughn)

Ramsey has played in 22 games for the Lady Cavaliers scoring 26 points, including a season-high six vs Breanu (GA) University, and also adding 18 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals.


Warren Wilson College Men's Basketball: Jeremiah Daye (Draughn)

Despite only playing seven games for the Owls, Daye leads the Owls with a 20.5 scoring average scoring in double digits six times including a season-high 28 vs. Mars Hill and Greensboro College.

Daye has also recorded 41 rebounds, 11 assists, 6 steals, and 2 blocked shots.


Queens University of Charlotte Wrestling: Noah Gilbert (East Burke)

Gilbert has reached 30 career wins in three seasons at Queens University with a 7-2 mark this season, including a 4-0 record in dual meets, winning by decision four times, two major decisions, and one pinfall.

Brevard College Baseball: Ben Melton (Draughn)

Melton started for five innings in game two of a season-opening series with William Peace University allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with striking out one batter.

He followed with a three-inning start against Guilford College allowing four runs on three hits and tossing a strikeout.


Emory & Henry College Baseball: Landon Biddix/Nathan Treadway (Draughn)

Biddix pitched in relief for one inning in the Wasps season opener vs. Berry College allowing only one run.

Treadway was also in the Wasps season opener batting order at catcher only getting on base via two walks.

 

Marshall Baseball: Nick Jodway (Draughn)

Jodway recorded a hit and scored a run in game three of the Thundering Herd's season-opening series at the University of Florida while also being issued a walk in four total at-bat appearances.

He also pitched for two innings allowing a run on two hits and tossing a strikeout while also being positioned at left field and designated hitter during the three-game series vs. the Gators.


Rockingham CC Baseball: JR Jensen (Draughn)

Jensen played in six games for the Eagles scoring a run, batting in a run, and recording a hit.

Methodist Softball: Jordyn Propst (East Burke)

Propst pitched in two games to start her junior season with the Lady Monarchs against St Andrews (1.2 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 2 BB) and Lynchburg (1.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R).


Appalachian State Softball: Gabby Buruato (Draughn)

Buruato has played nine games into her senior season at Appalachian State including two games vs. UNC Charlotte combining for a 2 for 5 performance with a scored run and also going 1 for 3 with an RBI vs. Lehigh.


Lees McRae Softball: Cora Detter (Draughn)

Detter scored a run and was issued two walks in game two of a season-opening series at Catawba College.


Surry CC Softball: Lexi Seagle (East Burke)

Seagle has played in three games recording a double vs. Spartanburg Methodist while also pitching in the same contest for 1.2 innings allowing six runs on four errors and three walks.

St Andrews Women's Lacrosse: Kelsey Houser/Faith Hildebran (East Burke)

Houser scored four goals in Saturday's 18-9 road win at Columbia College totaling five goals in two games off ten shots on goal.

Hildebran, a freshman, also played in two games for St. Andrews recording a shot on goal vs. Columbia.
